How to find the right place in the hallway to install a closet

Sometimes, looking at some corner in the hallway and I get the idea: would be good to put a closet here! And it would look great, and there is already room. But, do not rush to call the master.

First of all, look at the wall adjacent to the adjacent room (usually the living room). If its length is suitable to fit a large closet, it makes much more sense to break it down and put it in that place. Even if you have to "steal" some 40 centimeters from the living room, you'll get a full-fledged storage room, and not a fake for beauty.

Of course, this is only possible if the wall is not load-bearing and it can be removed without problems. If, however, the option of demolition is completely excluded, then you will have to invent other options. Expand the useful area of the cabinet can be done with the help of its shape. If you choose a radius instead of a standard rectangle, then there will be more space inside, by increasing the size of the shelves.

If the rectangular will fit a couple of sweaters, for example, then on such already all four or five. But, this design is quite original, unusual and not everyone likes it.

Also, a good option for placing the closet is around the front door, as shown in the photo below. Usually this space is empty anyway, or occupied by an unsightly open rack with a shoe shelf at the bottom. And it's a great solution for housing where the front door leads directly into the living room. But, again, this is possible if the width of the wall allows.

Another great solution is the location of the closet at the junction of the wall and the interior door. Only in this case it must be removed, and you get a large free space and a partition in the form of a closet.
